LATEST NEWS

Last night saw the draw for the Genero Adran Trophy round of 16 take place and the full play-off path.

The format of the draw for the competition has changed for the 2026/27 season, as the Genero Adran Premier teams were not seeded for, and the whole path was put together in one evening.

For The New Saints Women, it has not worked out too badly.

Kieran Lee-Birch’s team will welcome Genero Adran North side, Wrexham Foresters, to Park Hall Stadium in the first knockout round of the competition.

Foresters were only formed in 2025, and won the 2025/26 Central Wales North League, while going undefeated in the process, before overcoming Llangefni Town on penalties at Maes Tegid in the Northern Tier 3 Play-Off to move up to the Adran North.

Kirstie Kural’s side defeated both Llandudno and Berriew to get to this stage of the competition.

The New Saints have always had good pedigree in the Adran Trophy, as the current Adran Premier league leaders have reached the semi-finals in every season of the competition, and won the 2024/25 edition.

If the Saints defeat Foresters, it will either be Aberystwyth Town or Cardiff Met in the quarter-finals. If the Park Hall team get through the last eight, either Swansea City, Barry Town United, Llanfair United or Wrexham will await in the semi-finals, where Saints would be set to have home advantage.

All ties for the round of 16 will take place on Sunday, November 8th.
