This weekend (September 6th), The New Saints Women play their first match of the 2026/27 Genero Adran Premier season away at Cardiff Met.
In the 2025/26 edition of the Genero Adran Premier, the Oswestry-based side placed fourth on 27 points.
Looking at Cardiff Met’s road to their upcoming campaign, the side from the Capital gained promotion by securing the 2025/26 Genero Adran South title, and winning the Promotion Play-Off against the Genero Adran North champions, Connah’s Quay Nomads, on penalties at Park Avenue.
In the summer transfer window, The New Saints have made a number of marquee additions throughout the summer, as Fiona Barry, Nieve Rowbottom, and the returning Helen Evans have come in from Cardiff City, Abbie Iddenden and Hannah Snape from Wrexham, Molly France from Connah’s Quay Nomads, and the latest player through the door is Wales Youth International, Annie Davies.
The head-to-head between Kieran Lee-Birch's team and Met, both sides have six wins each with one draw. The last encounter finished in a 5-0 victory for the Saints at Park Hall Stadium on Sunday, February 23rd, 2025.
For the league opener, Saints will be in green and white hooped shirts with green shorts and socks. The goalkeepers are to wear all-yellow.
Sunday's hosts are in burgundy shirts and socks with navy shorts, and keepers will wear all-black.
The officials are as follows: Joseph Gibson (referee), Michelle Portelli and Aaron Paskell (assistant referees), and Erin Brennan (fourth official).
