The New Saints are excited to announce their first three signings ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Jack Nadin, Jacob Owen, and Ken Charles have all signed deals with the JD Cymru Premier champions, increasing head coach Craig Harrison’s options as the Saints prepare to embark on their latest UEFA Champions League adventure.

Nadin arrives at Park Hall from English Premier League side Nottingham Forest, having initially joined the club’s Academy at the age of 13.

Progressing through the ranks at the City Ground, the 20-year-old turned out 20 times for Forest in their Premier League 2 campaign last season, scoring four goals and recording five assists in the process.

An attacking midfielder by trade, Nadin also featured in all three of Forest’s EFL Trophy Group Stage games.

Owen will be a familiar name for fans of Welsh football, as he joins last year’s treble winners from fellow JD Cymru Premier side Haverfordwest County.

A graduate of the Swansea City Academy, the full-back made 30 league appearances last season and played an instrumental role as the Bluebirds sealed a return to European football as a result of their play-off victory.

Last but by no means least is striker Charles, who joins the club from Vanarama National League South side St Albans City.

After beginning his career with Colchester United, the striker has represented several teams in the south of England, including Braintree Town, King’s Lynn Town, and Cheshunt.

Charles’ most recent club was Vanarama National League side St Albans City, and the 24-year-old scored nine goals in 33 appearances for the aptly nicknamed Saints in the 2024/25 campaign.

Speaking after today’s announcement, The New Saints’ head coach Craig Harrison was full of praise for his new additions and told tnsfc.co.uk:

“Ken is quick, powerful, and fantastic at attacking crosses from wide areas. Strong and aggressive, he holds the ball up well and scores very different types of goals.

“We have watched Ken for a number of seasons, and he will be a fantastic addition to our attacking options.

“Jacob has really impressed me this season, and his athleticism and energy are fantastic. He had a great attitude and wants to continue learning and improving after a very good couple of seasons in the JD Cymru Premier.

“Jack is a very talented playmaker who can play anywhere across the front line. He has great technical skills, can find a pass, and has a keen eye for a goal.

“He has had a great upbringing at Nottingham Forest, which included winning the Premier League International Cup as recently as last month, thanks to a victory against Lyon.”

The New Saints’ Chairman Mike Harris, also commented, saying:

“After having our first taste of European football proper last season, we want to ensure that UEFA Conference League qualification is something we secure as a minimum.

“The signings of Jack, Jacob and Ken will help us strengthen our cause as we embark on another qualification campaign in just under a month’s time, and I’d like to take this opportunity to welcome them to the club.

“I’d expect to see further business completed over the coming weeks as we look to put ourselves in the strongest possible position ahead of the new season.”

Stay tuned for further updates as The New Saints continue preparations for what promises to be another exciting campaign both domestically and on the continent.
