Ahead of tonight’s MD-1 training session at the Podgorica City Stadium, The New Saints’ head coach, Craig Harrison, held a pre-match press conference.

After a 3-0 victory against FK Dečić in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League first qualifying round tie at Park Hall last week, the JD Cymru Premier champions go into the game with the advantage, but the side from Montenegro are by no means out of the contest.

Harrison stressed that his side will be approaching tomorrow night’s game as if the aggregate score was still 0-0, and will be casting that previous victory six days ago right to the back of their minds.

In an interview covering a wide range of topics, the former English Premier League defender shared his final thoughts regarding his team’s first leg performance, discussed the use of VAR in last week’s game at Park Hall, and provided a positive update about a number of recent injuries.

With kick-off now less than 24 hours away, the head coach also explained the difficult decision he’s faced when it comes to choosing the starting line-up for tomorrow night’s all-important second leg.
