Hailing from Colwyn Bay on the north Wales coast, Owen Davies began his footballing journey at the Seagulls’ academy.

During that time he went to English Premier League side, Everton, on trial. It was there that he met Chris Seargeant, who then became instrumental in the young striker moving to The New Saints.

He came on as a substitute in last season’s FAW Youth Cup final against Penybont FC and scored nine minutes later, with TNS going on to lift the trophy for the second year on the bounce.

Davies has also signed his first professional contract recently with the champions of Wales, and we caught up with him in the technical area at Park Hall to discuss that, as well as other aspects of his career to date.
