With last week’s MD6 game at Park Hall, against Haverfordwest County, postponed due to the sad passing of Queen Elizabeth II, it’s back on the road this weekend, as we travel south to play Cardiff Metropolitan University FC.

The MD7 fixture is a second versus first encounter, with just one point separating the sides in the JD Cymru Premier.

Although The New Saints is the only unbeaten team in the league, with four wins from five the Archers are off to a great start themselves.

Cyncoed has been a challenging place to visit for the reigning champions in recent seasons, with just one win since 2019/20 and two draws (1-1, 0-1, 1-1).

This time round, on paper at least, it looks like another tough one, with the hosts having scored eleven goals so far in the league, compared to TNS’ seven.

As far as the defences are concerned though, it’s the visitors who have a clear advantage there, with one versus five.

Cardiff Met will be lining up in burgundy/blue/burgundy, with the goalkeepers in orange and black shirts and black shorts and socks.

The New Saints will be wearing green and white hooped shirts, green shorts and white socks. The ‘keepers kit will be green and blue shirts, blue shorts and black socks.

The officials are Aaron Jones (referee), Ian Bird and Ceri Williams (assistant referees) and Ryan Kenny (fourth official). Edward King is the referee observer.

Kick-off is 2.30 p.m. and if you’re not there in person, you can follow the action on TNS Radio, via our website/Facebook page.
