A Professional Performance

We know that it will always be a tough game when we play Caernarfon Town on the road. They’re organised, motivated and have the 12th man behind them. Yesterday’s crowd was in excess of 800, by the way.

Although we’ve won the last two games there, they have both been 0-0 at the break. This time round though, courtesy of Declan McManus, we had our nose in front.

It was a professional performance, as The New Saints made it six wins on the bounce in the JD Cymru Premier.

 

Four Different Names On The Scoresheet

The final score of 4-0 saw Declan McManus, Ryan Brobbel, Adrian Cieslewicz and Jordan Williams find the net.

Although Declan is the one that usually gets the attention – and naturally so, as that was his nineteenth league goal of the season – nevertheless it’s important to highlight the fact that goals come from across the team.

That’s one of the reasons why it’s difficult to play against The New Saints.

Declan usually gets his name in the talking points and his goal that broke the deadlock is definitely worth a mention.

Ryan Brobbel

When you get a free-kick on the left and within striking distance of the goal, then there’s only one player that you want on the ball.

What a fantastic strike it was from Ryan Brobbel, as he beat the wall, the players in the area and the ‘keeper, to find the back of the net.

Clean Sheet 

After four games without a clean sheet, it was good to get back on track as far as that statistic is concerned.

Having conceded just fourteen goals in nineteen games, that particular column on the table looks good.

Not as impressive as the points though, with The New Saints ending the night with a lead of seventeen at the top of the JD Cymru Premier.
