Three Wins From Three Games
The impressive start continues, as the 1-0 victory means that it’s three wins from as many games in the new JD Cymru Premier season.
With ten goals scored and four conceded, it means that The New Saints sits in second place. Flint Town United lead the way on goal difference.
With Connah’s Quay Nomads drawing over the weekend, the top two are now the only ones with a perfect start.
First Clean Sheet
Although there will be talk about the fact that just one goal was scored – compared to the nine in the two previous games – nevertheless, the positive from the actual scoreline is that it was the side’s first clean sheet of 2021/22.
After conceding just seventeen in the whole of last season’s league campaign, it’s good to get back to a tight defence.

With four defenders finding the net in last week’s win against Caernarfon Town, this time round it was a winger who scored the only goal of the game.
Naturally, it’s always a good time to score, but just before the half-time whistle means that you go into the break energised.

The left-back and club captain deserves a mention in his own right. Not only did he create the winning goal but he also, from a first-half free-kick, found Blaine Hudson, who saw his effort go wide.
In addition, from another free-kick at the other end in the second period, he beat the wall and the ‘keeper only to be denied by the crossbar.
A true inspiration on and off the pitch, his contribution to the cause does not go unnoticed.
Made To Work Hard
The favourite for many followers of the domestic game to lift the JD Cymru Premier title this time round, the reality is that The New Saints will need to work hard to secure the ultimate prize in Welsh football.
Haverfordwest County weren’t there just to make up the numbers. They may be currently occupying a relegation spot but they’ve conceded fewer goals than TNS so far this season.
Although there is confidence in the camp, everyone is fully aware of the need to stay focused, keep humble and work hard.
