On Friday (August 7), The New Saints return to Novira Cymru Premier action as they welcome Haverfordwest County to Park Hall.
It's set to be the Saints' first home fixture of the new campaign, with Craig Harrison's side looking to build on last weekend's goalless draw away at Penybont.
Despite dominating much of the contest, the visitors were unable to find a breakthrough against a resolute Penybont defence. The Saints enjoyed 57% possession and registered five shots on target, compared to their opponents' 43% possession and no shots on target, but ultimately had to settle for a point.
With a league-leading 81 goals scored last season - 46 of them coming at Park Hall - the champions will be confident of rediscovering their attacking touch on home soil.
Haverfordwest County, meanwhile, endured a difficult start to their league campaign, suffering a 1-0 defeat at home to Airbus UK Broughton.
Joshua Stevenson scored the decisive goal for the visitors in the 85th minute, as the Wingmakers became the first newly promoted side to win away from home on the opening day of a Cymru Premier season in 19 years.
As a result, both teams head into Friday night's encounter still searching for their first league victory of the season, setting the stage for an intriguing contest at Park Hall.
Recent meetings between the sides suggest there could be plenty of entertainment. Across the last two seasons, The New Saints and Haverfordwest County have met six times in all competitions, producing 24 goals. The Saints won all six encounters, scoring 19 goals and conceding five, and will be aiming to maintain that impressive record this time around.
For Friday's encounter, the hosts will take to the field in their traditional home kit of green and white hooped shirts, green shorts and green socks, while the Bluebirds will wear an all-blue strip. The goalkeepers will be in all-yellow and all-neon green respectively.
Ryan Kenny has been appointed referee, with Steffan Davies and Karl Griffin as the assistant referees, while Nicholas Davies will serve as the fourth official. Nick Pratt is the video assistant referee, with Ceri Williams acting as the assistant video assistant referee.
