The New Saints are delighted to announce the signing of full-back Zach Nolan, who joins the club ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
The 20-year-old arrives at Park Hall having most recently featured for Ballymena United in the Irish Premiership, where he also appeared in the BetMcLean Cup semi-final.
Nolan began his career at League of Ireland side Bray Wanderers, making over 35 league appearances before moving to Northern Ireland.
A versatile defender capable of operating at left back, left wing back, or on the left side of a back three, Nolan brings pace, athleticism and an attacking threat from deep.
After completing his move, Nolan said: "The playing style here is the way I like to play and from the off, this place just felt right for me. I see myself as a fast, attacking defender, but defending always comes first.
“I've a good engine and like getting up and down the pitch, and here I'll have the freedom to do that. Hopefully I can show what I've got and learn a lot too."
Head coach Craig Harrison said: "Zach came in and trained with us for a week last season and impressed everyone. There wasn't quite the opportunity to bring him in at that point, but we kept tabs on him and we're delighted to have him on board now.
“His potential is clear - he's got a good left foot, gets up and down the pitch, he's athletic, and his attitude is fantastic. He works hard and he wants to learn, which is exactly what we look for.
“He's someone we believe we can really develop and mould so we’re looking forward to working with him every day."
Chairman Mike Harris added: "We're really pleased to bring Zach to the club. He's a young player with a strong pedigree, having gained valuable experience in both the League of Ireland and the Irish Premiership at just 20 years old.
“We believe he has the attributes to thrive at this level and we're looking forward to seeing him develop as part of our squad."
