The New Saints are delighted to announce the signing of winger Jesurun Uchegbulam, who joins the club ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
The 25-year-old arrives at Park Hall with a wealth of experience across the non-league and semi-professional pyramid in England, bringing pace, creativity and an eye for goal to the Saints' attack.
Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Uchegbulam moved to Italy as a young child, where he joined the AC Milan youth academy at the age of seven.
When his family relocated to England when he was 15 years old, he trialled with a number of Football League clubs before embarking on a non-league career that would prove particularly successful.
After impressing with Stockport Town and Mossley, where he was voted fans' Young Player of the Year, Uchegbulam earned his first professional contract with Chesterfield in July 2022.
Spells at Rochdale and Oldham Athletic followed, where he was part of the side that won promotion to the English Football League via the National League playoff final at Wembley.
Most recently, he featured for Chelmsford City, scoring and assisting on his debut in an FA Cup victory against Braintree Town, before a later loan stint at Buxton.
Head Coach Craig Harrison said: "I've known Jes for a long time. I first spotted him when he was around 18 or 19 during my time at Connah's Quay, and even managed to get him in for a friendly, where he was exceptional.
“Unfortunately we weren’t able to get the deal over the line as he signed for Chesterfield, but he brings directness, power and pace, and the ability to play across a number of attacking positions which were really pleased with.”
Chairman Mike Harris added: "This is a really exciting signing for the club. Jesurun has shown throughout his career that he has the quality and the character to perform at the highest level, and we're delighted to finally bring him to Park Hall. We can't wait to see him in a TNS shirt."
Uchegbulam himself said he was eager to get started: "I'm absolutely delighted to be joining The New Saints. The club has a fantastic record in Welsh football and in European competitions, and I can't wait to get started and contribute to the team."
