This Saturday (February 28th), the season's first piece of silverware is up for grabs as The New Saints take on Barry Town United in the final of the Nathaniel MG Cup.
As current holders of the trophy for the past two seasons, Craig Harrison's side will be looking to make it a hat-trick of victories at the DragonBet Stadium.
Saturday's meeting is a rematch of the 2017 Nathaniel MG Cup final, when the Saints defeated the Linnets 4-0 at Cardiff Met's Cyncoed Stadium, with current assistant head coach Chris Seargeant helping himself to an 11-minute second-half hat-trick.
Incidentally, that was the last time Barry reached the final of the competition, so they'll be out for revenge nearly a decade later.
To reach the final, The New Saints have picked up victories against Airbus UK Broughton (7-1), Connah's Quay Nomads (3-1), Caernarfon Town (3-0) and Llandudno (2-1), while Barry have beaten Aberystwyth Town (2-1), Llanelli Town (1-0), Haverfordwest County (2-0) and Cambrian United (3-0).
The two sides have met three times already this season, all in the JD Cymru Premier, with The New Saints winning both of the matches played at Park Hall. The other meeting, at Jenner Park, ended in a 0-0 draw back in August.
Saturday's final, which kicks-off at 5:30pm, will be officiated by Rob Jenkins (referee), Ian Bird and Steffan Davies (assistant referees) and Siôn Davies (fourth official).
The New Saints will be wearing green and white hooped shirts with green shorts and socks, while Barry will take to the field in yellow shirts with blue shorts and socks. Goalkeepers will be wearing all-orange and all-purple respectively.
Tickets can be purchased in advance HERE and are priced at £8 for adults, £5 for young adults and seniors (17-21, 65+), and £3 for U16s. Tickets can also be purchased on the gate on matchday for increased prices.
