LATEST NEWS

With their Boxing Day meeting against Bala Town falling victim to a frozen pitch, it’s been a quieter festive period than expected for The New Saints.

That should hopefully change on Wednesday (December 31st) though, as Craig Harrison’s side finally return to action at the Essity Stadium.

Standing in their way are Connah’s Quay Nomads, with the contest in Flintshire shaping up as a huge top-of-the-table clash. League leaders TNS head into the game seven points clear of their hosts, making the stakes crystal clear for both sides.

A victory for the Saints would put them firmly in control as the title race moves into its decisive stages. For the Nomads, three points would breathe new life into their challenge and cut the gap at the summit.

While TNS have had a relatively quiet December, John Disney’s men have kept busy, picking up wins over Briton Ferry Llansawel (4-2) and Flint Town United (2-0) in the past ten days.

The hosts haven’t tasted league defeat since September 23rd, but they have already been beaten twice by the Saints this season.

Harrison’s side ran out 3-0 winners at Park Hall in the JD Cymru Premier on August 22nd, before securing a 3–1 victory away from home in the Nathaniel MG Cup the following month to end the Nomads’ cup run.

Aaron Wyn Jones will take charge of the match, assisted by Richard Dolphin and Harvey Smallman. Mark James is the fourth official, with John Davies serving as referee observer.

Connah’s Quay will line up in their all-red kit, while the visitors will wear their all-black third strip. The goalkeepers will be in all-purple and all-turquoise respectively.

Tickets can be purchased HERE and are priced at £8 for adults and £4 for concessions. Kick-off is at 2:30pm.

If you’re unable to make it to Flint, you don’t have to miss out on the action, as you can stream the match live via TNS TV (outside the UK and Ireland only) at 247.tv/live/football, or listen to radio coverage on our YouTube channel.
