Ahead of Saturday’s JD Welsh Cup fixture against Mold Alexandra, head coach Craig Harrison was on media duty today, holding his latest pre-match press conference prior to training.

The New Saints extended their JD Cymru Premier lead to six points with victory against Penybont, but it’s a different challenge entirely for the competition holders this weekend.

Plying their trade in the JD Cymru North – the second tier of Welsh football – Mold will be hoping to cause an upset against the 10-time winners. However, they face an in-form TNS side unbeaten in their last 13 matches.

After sharing his final thoughts following the 6-2 win over Penybont, Harrison also praised the recent form of striker Jordan Williams, and discussed his recent visit to Rhyl to watch the Alex live in person.

On top of that, the former Preston North End defender was asked whether his side need to do anything differently to prepare for a cup fixture against unfamiliar opposition, and provided an update regarding the injury and availability situation within the squad.
