The first of two games on bank holiday weekend sees The New Saints welcome Connah’s Quay Nomads to Park Hall on Friday night (August 22nd).

After banishing their Briton Ferry blues with an impressive 2-0 victory against Penybont on Saturday, Craig Harrison’s side will be looking to continue their momentum in the JD Welsh Cup final rematch.

Facing the Nomads three times in total last season, the JD Cymru Premier champions enjoyed a 100% win record, but there was just one goal separating the sides on all three occasions.

While traditionally one of the Saints’ main title rivals, after missing out on a place in the top six, the team from Deeside failed to hit the heights they would’ve been hoping for last season.

And after appointing John Disney as manager during the summer, as well as switching to a hybrid model of part-time and full-time players, the two-time Cymru Premier champions will be looking to reassert themselves this time around, however.

For Friday’s game, the Saints will take to the field in their traditional home kit of green and white hooped shirts, green shorts and green socks, while the Nomads will be wearing all-black. Goalkeepers will be in all-yellow and all-orange respectively.

Rob Jenkins has been appointed referee, with Ashley Davis and Matthew Johnson the two assistants. Aaron Wyn Jones is the fourth official and Michael Jones the referee observer.

Tickets can be purchased HERE and are priced at £11 for adults, £6 for concessions and £4 for U16s. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:45pm. To speed up entry into the stadium and prevent queuing on arrival, it’s strongly advised to purchase tickets online in advance.

If you aren’t at Park Hall in person, you don’t have to miss out on the action, as you can stream the match live via TNS TV (outside the UK and Ireland only) at 247.tv/live/football.
