Ahead of Saturday’s JD Cymru Premier fixture against Penybont, head coach Craig Harrison was on media duty this morning, holding his pre-match press conference at Park Hall Stadium.

After a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Briton Ferry Llansawel in their league opener, the Saints will be looking for a strong response at the DragonBet Stadium as they seek to reignite their title defence.

Sunday’s result marked the champions’ first opening-day loss since 2017, and Harrison’s side will be determined to avoid back-to-back setbacks that could see them slip six points behind the early leaders.

Explaining how it’s a positive that his side don’t have to wait too long to put last weekend’s wrong right, the head coach also discussed the difficult challenge awaiting his side this weekend, and the decision to send three players out on loan last week.

An update was also provided regarding a number of injured players – including positive news regarding the return of Harvey Godsmark-Ford.
