The New Saints are pleased to announce the signing of Wales U21 goalkeeper Nathan Shepperd.

The 24-year-old arrives at Park Hall from English Championship side Queens Park Rangers, having spent the 2024/25 season with the London-based club.

A graduate of the Swansea City Academy, Shepperd brings a wealth of experience, having also played for Brentford, Wycombe Wanderers, and Dundalk. During his time in the League of Ireland, he made 69 appearances for Dundalk and featured in the UEFA Conference League.

Shepperd now arrives at Park Hall ready to step into the role vacated by the retiring Connor Roberts, as the Saints prepare for their UEFA Champions League first qualifying round clash against KF Shkëndija.

Speaking after putting pen to paper, Shepperd said:

“It’s a great opportunity for me to be part of a team with big ambitions, both domestically and in Europe. From everything I’ve seen and heard, it’s a club with a strong culture and a clear vision, and I’m looking forward to getting started and contributing to what we’re building here at Park Hall.”

Head Coach Craig Harrison added:

“Nathan brings a well-rounded profile to the squad. He’s developed through a strong academy system at Swansea City and gained valuable senior experience during his time at Queens Park Rangers and his loan spell with Dundalk.

“He fits our playing style perfectly, and in many ways, he ticks all the boxes we’re looking for.

“We did consider signing a more senior goalkeeper from Championship or even Premier League clubs, but ultimately, we believe Nathan’s blend of pedigree, potential, and experience will serve him, and us, very well.”
