LATEST NEWS

For the final time this season, The New Saints Women are in action on Sunday, as they welcome local rivals Wrexham to Park Hall Stadium.

After lifting the Genero Adran Trophy back in February, it’s already been a memorable campaign for The Saints, but with a victory this weekend, they can also secure their highest-ever Genero Adran Premier finish.

When the two sides last met at Park Hall, it was a 1-0 victory for the hosts, and after an impressive three points on the road against Briton Ferry Lansawel in their last league fixture, Shaua Duffy’s side will be hoping to make it back-to-back wins on Sunday.

Speaking in her pre-match press conference last night, The Saints’ head coach said that after regrouping from a difficult start to phase two, securing that third-placed finish is something the squad have been targeting for a number of weeks.

And with strong home results against the likes of Cardiff City, Swansea City and Briton Ferry under their belts already, the former Blackburn Rovers defender also said that she’s feeling confident about her side’s chances this weekend.

On top of that, questions were asked about the win against Wrexham in phase one, Chantelle Teare’s continued good form, as well as her recent graduation from the UEFA A Licence coaching course.

Check out the video below to hear all of that, plus more.
