Ahead of Saturday’s JD Cymru Premier fixture against Cardiff Met University, head coach Craig Harrison held his pre-match press conference at Park Hall Stadium this afternoon. 

After securing a record-extending 17th league title this past weekend, there’s little riding on the game as far as silverware is concerned, but The Saints will be eager to continue their recent good form.

Since losing against NK Celje in the UEFA Conference League on December 19th, The Saints have won their last 14 games in all competitions, and that momentum is something they’ll be wanting to take into the JD Welsh Cup final at the beginning of May.

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s contest, the former Crystal Palace defender described Cardiff Met as one of the toughest opponents in the league and praised the work done by manager Ryan Jenkins since taking the role.

There were also questions about previous games against the Archers and the chance to get revenge in the upcoming Welsh Cup final rematch, as well as yesterday’s visit from the Duke of Edinburgh.
