The New Saints Women return to Park Hall this weekend, as they take on Briton Ferry Llansawel in their latest Genero Adran Premier fixture. 

Both sides are going into the game off the back of defeats, with The Saints falling 3-1 away at Wrexham, while the visitors were beaten 2-0 at home by Cardiff City.

Sunday’s meeting will be the fifth time the two sides have squared off this season, and there’s been very little to split them up to now.

Three of the matches have ended in draws (although TNS did progress in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup on penalties), with the lone victory going the way of The New Saints in that dramatic Genero Adran Trophy semi-final.

Speaking in her pre-match press conference yesterday, head coach Shauna Duffy described Briton Ferry as ‘an unbelievably difficult side to break down’ and said that her side know that they’re in for a tough game on Sunday.

Questions were also asked about The Saints’ strong home record, the injury and availability situation within the squad, and this weekend’s Bute Energy U16s Girls Cup semi-final.
