LATEST NEWS

On Saturday, the JD Cymru Premier’s top two teams go head-to-head at Park Hall (12:15pm), in a match that could prove decisive in this season’s title race.

The New Saints and Penybont have faced off twice already this season, and it’s currently one a piece as far as victories go.

In September, Rhys Griffiths’ side ran out 2-1 winners at the SDM Glass Stadium after a late Chris Venables goal, before the defending champions returned the favour at Park Hall two months later.

Despite trailing 2-0 at the break, The Saints pulled off a superb second-half comeback to win 3-2, with captain, Danny Redmond, netting a superb long-range winner in the 89th minute.

Both teams were in home action last weekend and experienced varying fortunes. For Craig Harrison’s men, it was a 3-1 victory against Cardiff Met University, while the Bont were held to a 0-0 draw by Haverfordwest County.

Those two results meant that the league leaders increased their advantage at the top of the table to three points, so The Saints will be looking to put further daylight between themselves and their title rivals at Park Hall.

For Saturday’s encounter, The New Saints will wear green and white hooped shirts, with green shorts and socks, while the visitors will be in all-blue. Goalkeepers are set to wear all-turquoise and all-yellow respectively.

Bryn Markham-Jones is the referee, with Johnathon Bebee-Bryant and Connor Thomas the two assistants. Tom Owen is the fourth official.

Tickets can be purchased HERE and are priced at £11 for adults, £6 for concessions and £3 for U16s. To speed up entry into the stadium and prevent queuing on arrival, it’s strongly advised to purchase tickets online in advance.

If you aren’t at Park Hall in person, you don’t have to miss out on the action. Sgorio will be streaming the game live, so visit their YouTube channel or Facebook Page to watch.
