LATEST NEWS

This weekend, The New Saints Women finally return to action, as they take on Briton Ferry Llansawel in the semi-finals of the Genero Adran Trophy.

The Saints have reached this stage of the competition in each of the last four seasons, and after failing to progress in all of their previous attempts, they’ll be hoping it proves to be fourth time lucky at Park Hall.

Coming in to the game on the back of seven consecutive wins, the Genero Adran Premier leaders are in good form, but so too are their opponents. Rhys James’ side have won all of their three previous matches, including impressive 2-0 and 3-1 victories against Swansea City and Cardiff City.

Ahead of Sunday’s contest, head coach, Shauna Duffy, held her pre-match press conference yesterday, and expressed frustration at having had no games recently due to the weather.

The 29-year-old praised her squad for their application with training opportunities limited, and discussed the tough test that lies in store this weekend as they bid to reach the final for the first-time ever.

Check out the video below to hear all of that, plus more.
