This coming Saturday (January 4th), The New Saints are back in action, as they play their rearranged JD Cymru Premier matchday 19 fixture against Newtown.
Having gone top of the table for the first time this season following a 2-1 victory against Connah’s Quay Nomads on New Year’s Eve, Craig Harrison’s side will be looking to continue their momentum against an out-of-sorts Robins outfit.
Since September 13th, Callum McKenzie’s side have won just once in all competitions (a 2-1 win on the road against Caernarfon Town on October 12th) and have lost each of their last five league fixtures.
Subsequently, the team from Latham Park have slipped to 10th in the JD Cymru Premier table, just one point above the drop zone, and are at real risk of suffering relegation from the top-flight for the first time ever.
In the reverse meeting, it was The Saints who tasted victory at Latham Park, running out 6-1 winners thanks to goals from Danny Davies, Aramide Oteh, Sion Bradley (x2), Declan McManus and Jack Bodenham. Head Coach, Harrison, will be expecting more of the same from his side, as they look to make it four wins from four.
For Saturday’s game (2:30pm kick-off), The New Saints will be in green and white shirts, green shorts and green socks, while the Robins are set to wear their traditional all-red kit. Goalkeepers will be wearing all-turquoise and all-grey respectively.
John Jones has been selected as referee, with Harry Hendricks and Jake Smith the two assistants. Tom Owen is the fourth official and Nathan Brearley the referee observer.
Tickets can be purchased HERE and are priced at £11 for adults, £6 for concessions and £3 for U16s. To speed up your entry into the stadium and prevent queuing on arrival, it’s advised to purchase tickets online in advance.
