A first ever league double against Swansea
The New Saints Women delivered a first ever league double over Swansea City yesterday by defeating Jamie Sherwood’s team 1-0 at Park Hall Stadium in the Genero Adran Premier.

This follows on from the 5-0 win away at Llandarcy Academy of Sport earlier on in the season (Sunday, October 13).
The New Saints is the only team the Swans have lost to in the 2024/25 edition of the Adran Premier.
Goalless at the break
There were no goals at half-time, as both sides’ defence held strong.
A big stoppage was had midway through the opening half, as Olivia Buckland accidentally collided with Charlotte Haynes, which led Wales international, Nia Jones, to go between the sticks for Swansea.

Lexi Jones scores late on
Wales under-17 international, Lexi Jones, came off the bench to deliver a winner that will be remembered for a long while.
The number 11 netted in the first minute of stoppage time past Nia Jones from close-range.

It is Lexi Jones’ eighth goal in 12 games for The Saints.
Another clean sheet
Saints have now kept a third consecutive clean sheet at home in all competitions.
This have been achieved against the top three in the Adran Premier from last season – Cardiff City, Swansea City, and Wrexham.
These three games have finished 1-0 as well, which has made the clean sheets all the more important.
Top of the tree at Christmas
As Cardiff City did not play at the weekend, it is TNS that are top of the Adran Premier table.

It is certainly an exciting title race developing in Wales’ top-flight.
