The New Saints Women return to action this weekend, as they make the trip to the capital to face Cardiff Met University. 

After making it four wins in a row thanks to a 1-0 victory over Wrexham in their last Genero Adran Premier fixture, The Saints will be looking to continue their current form to keep up the pressure on league leaders, Cardiff City.

Ahead of Sunday’s important fixture, head coach, Shauna Duffy, was on media duty yesterday, holding her latest pre-match press conference prior to training.

The 29-year-old spoke about the importance of avoiding complacency with Sunday’s opposition currently at the foot of the table, gave praise to Caitlin Chapman following her Gibraltar national team call-up, and also shared final thoughts following the victory against Wrexham.

Questions were also asked about the Henstone Distillery Player of the Match performance of Lexi Jones last weekend, as well as the draw for the quarter-final of the Bute Energy Welsh Cup – which sees The Saints travel to Briton Ferry Llansawel in February.
