LATEST NEWS

This weekend (Sunday, Noveember 17), The New Saints Women travel to Llandudno in round two of the Bute Energy Welsh Cup.

It was a trip to The Rec in round one for The New Saints, as Shauna Duffy’s team beat Pwllheli 6-0 (Sunday, October 20).

The Seasiders got to this stage of the competition by getting past Bangor Women 7-1 away in a qualifier (September 22), before overcoming Connah’s Quay Nomads on penalties in the first round, following a 3-3 draw in normal time.

Llandudno missed out on a place in this season’s Genero Adran Premier, as the North Wales team lost 4-0 to Briton Ferry Llansawel in the play-off between the Adran North and South winners at Latham Park in April (21).

Jay Davies’ team are currently top of the Adran North on nine points.

It will be a first competitive meeting between The Saints and the Seasiders this weekend.

Duffy’s side will wear an aqua green shirt with grey shorts and socks, while the goalkeepers are to be in all-light blue.

Sunday’s hosts are in a black and white shirt with black shorts and socks, keepers will wear all-pink.

The officials are as follows: Karl Berry (referee), Nathan Wheatley and Andrew Dogan (assistant referees).

Kick-off is at 2 p.m, and live updates will be avaliable on The New Saints Women’s X page (formerly Twitter).
