This weekend, The New Saints Women travel to take on Aberystwyth Town at Park Avenue on matchday seven in the Genero Adran Premier.
The New Saints go into this game on the back of a 1-1 draw against Barry Town United at Park Hall Stadium last Sunday (October 27).
Meanwhile, the Seasiders lost 4-2 to Cardiff City in Aberystwyth, having been 2-0 ahead of the defending champions until the hour mark.
In the last encounter earlier on in the season between The Saints and Aberystwyth Town, Shauna Duffy’s team came out 6-1 victors at Park Hall Stadium (Sunday, September 22).
Looking at the overall head-to-head between the sides in competitive fixtures, Saints have won four times, Chris Church’s team once, with three draws – one of those draws was a 2-2 in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup quarter-finals last season where the Oswestry-based team came out on top 4-2 in the penalty shootout.
In the league table, TNS are second on 11 points, Aberystwyth sit bottom on a point.
For Sunday’s encounter, Duffy’s team are to wear a green and white hooped shirts with green shorts and white socks, goalkeepers are in all-purple.
The Seasiders will be in a green shirt with a black stripe down the middle, black shorts and green socks, keepers will wear all-orange.
Ryan Kenny is the referee this weekend, Matthew Johnson and James Young are the assistants, while Tegid Richards is the fourth official.
