It’s been a good start to the season for The New Saints Women, with wins in both of their opening matches leaving them top of the Genero Adran Premier table. 

This Sunday though, Shauna Duffy’s side face their toughest test yet, as they travel to the capital to face defending champions, Cardiff City. 

Despite going close on a number of occasions, The Saints have never beaten the Bluebirds, but thanks to their recent form, the visitors will approach the match at the Cardiff City Stadium with plenty of confidence.

Holding her pre-match press conference ahead of the matchday three fixture, the TNS head coach reflected on her side’s 6-1 victory over Aberystwyth Town last time out, before switching focus to Sunday’s game against Iain Darbyshire’s side. 

Former Blackburn Rovers defender, Duffy, also provided insight into the work that’s been done in training, and discussed the injury and availability situation – including an update on both Caitlin Chapman and Tia Lockley.
