LATEST NEWS

Following a four-week break, The New Saints’ first-team squad reported back to Park Hall yesterday for their first day of pre-season training.

After completing an invincible JD Cymru Premier campaign and also lifting the Nathaniel MG Cup last season, spirits were undoubtably high, as the group now get set for another exciting summer of UEFA Champions League football.

Last season’s Golden Boot winner, Brad Young, Danny Redmond, Declan McManus and Connor Roberts were among the names put through their paces, both in the gym and out on the pitch, as the team underwent a day of intensive testing.

Yesterday’s session marked the start of a six-week pre-season campaign, which will culminate on either Tuesday, July 9th or Wednesday, July 10th, when The Saints play the first leg of their first qualifying round tie against yet-to-be determined opposition.

The draw for the UEFA Champions League first qualifying round will take place on Tuesday, June 18th, live from the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, and will be covered extensively on both our website and social media platforms.

Our official club photographer, Brian Jones, was on hand at yesterday’s training session and captured plenty of shots. A small selection can be seen below, while the full album can be viewed on our Facebook page.
