It’s the penultimate home game of the season on Tuesday (April 9), when Bala Town visit Park Hall on JD Cymru Premier MD29.

In last weekend’s matches, The New Saints’ 7-1 victory against Caernarfon Town meant that the Lakesiders’ 1-1 draw at home with Newtown AFC was enough to secure European football next season for Colin Caton’s side.

Regular competitors on the continental stage, Bala join TNS and Connah’s Quay Nomads, who have both already qualified to represent Wales in 2024/2025.

Although Tuesday’s clash is a first versus third encounter, there is massive gap of thirty-four points separating the clubs in the table. With no defeats and just two draws in 29 games, Craig Harrison’s team has built a considerable lead at the top.

Last Friday’s win against Caernarfon Town saw the milestone of 100 JD Cymru Premier goals reached this season, when Declan McManus found the back of the net in the seventh minute.

With thirteen goals in the last two games, it’s been anything but unlucky for the champions of Wales. In 2023/2024, The New Saints scored 112, and with three fixtures remaining this time (including Bala Town), the current tally is 106.

The New Saints will be wearing the familiar green and white hooped shirts with green shorts and socks on Tuesday, while the visitors will be in all-red. The ‘keepers will be in all-sky blue and all-purple respectively.

Mark Petch is the appointed referee and he will be assisted by Johnathon Bebee-Bryant and Jordan Christopher. James Walker is the fourth official and Nigel Richards the referee observer.
