There’s more semi-final action on the way for The New Saints Women this weekend, as they take on Wrexham in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup.

Flint Town United’s Essity Stadium is the venue for Sunday’s fixture, with The Saints bidding to reach the final of the competition for the first time ever.

Greg Draper’s side are enjoying their best-ever run in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup, and head into the game against the Red Dragons on the back of victories against Connah’s Quay Nomads, Y Felinheli and Aberystwyth Town earlier in the season.

Despite a difficult run of results in recent weeks, The Saints will take plenty of confidence from their positives performances in previous rounds, and will hope for a return to winning ways on the North Wales coast.

Holding his pre-match press conference earlier today, head coach, Draper, reflected on the difficult few weeks his side have endured, and discussed the previous clash against Wrexham, which ended in a 3-2 defeat following the wrongful dismissal of Helen Evans.

The New Zealand international also provided an update regarding injuries and availability, in particular Caitlin Chapman, who was forced off in the first-half last weekend.
