LATEST NEWS

The impressive run of form for The New Saints continues, with last weekend’s win at Briton Ferry Llansawel the 22nd consecutive victory and 37th unbeaten game on the bounce.

This Friday (February 23), it’s back to JD Cymru Premier action, as we travel to the north Wales coast to take on Caernarfon Town in our third away fixture on the trot.

Enjoying a healthy lead of seventeen points at the top of the table, Craig Harrison’s side will be looking to take another step towards retaining the league title.

Caernarfon Town, on the other hand, will be keen to get their second-phase on track, as far as wins are concerned, as they chase points themselves.

Since the split, Richard Davies has seen his team pick up two creditable draws, against Connah’s Quay Nomads (1-1) and Cardiff Met University FC (2-2), and they currently occupy sixth spot in the Championship Conference.

On level-pegging with Newtown AFC, they trail Cardiff Met and Bala Town by three and five points respectively.

The last time Caernarfon and The New Saints met was on Boxing Day last year, when Louis Lloyd gave the visitors a 14th minute lead at Park Hall.

It was an advantage that they held for sixty-five minutes, when Jordan Williams drew the league leaders level. Just two minutes on from the equaliser, a great strike from Chris Marriott rescued the game and secured the three points.

On Friday, the Cofis will be in their familiar yellow shirts and socks with green shorts, while the visitors will be in all-navy blue.

The respective goalkeepers will be wearing all-orange and all-purple.

Huw Jones will referee the game and he will be assisted by Richard Dolphin and Harvey Smallman. Mark James is the fourth official and Kevin Parry the referee observer.

The kick-off at The Oval is 7.45 p.m. and the game will again be broadcast on TNS TV (excluding UK and Ireland), with purchase details posted on our social media platforms ahead of the fixture.
