It’s a big game for The New Saints this weekend, as they travel to Falkirk in the semi-finals of the SPFL Trust Trophy. 

Having already won the Nathaniel MG Cup this season, Craig Harrison’s side continue their quest for silverware north of the English border, bidding to become the first non-Scottish side to win the competition.

To reach this stage of the tournament, the JD Cymru Premier leaders have already won three ties, defeating Hibernian B 3-0 in Edinburgh, before home wins against East Fife and Arbroath.

The Saints go into the game on a run of 18 consecutive victories, with their unbeaten record making for even prettier reading. The last time Harrison’s team tasted defeat was on August 1st in the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Holding his pre-match press conference earlier today, the former Middlesborough defender shared his thoughts ahead of the trip to Scotland, describing the game against the Bairns as a ‘very tough’ test.

The head coach also discussed the work that’s gone in to prepare for the fixture, including watching Falkirk twice in person, the positive signs he’s seen so far in training this week, and his recent January Manager of the Month win.
