LATEST NEWS

It’s the final game of the year on Sunday (December 31) for both sides, as the top two in the league go head-to-head alongside the Dee estuary.

Occupying second spot in the JD Cymru Premier, Connah’s Quay Nomads find themselves nine points behind The New Saints, while the league leaders also have a game in hand.

In terms of the title race, although the MD21 encounter is a significant game, nothing will be decided on the day. Regardless of that though, the contest is likely to be a hotly-contested one as the rivals go head-to-head for the third time this season.

Both previous matches were at Park Hall in August, with The New Saints winning 2-1 and 6-2 in the Nathaniel MG Cup and JD Cymru Premier respectively.

While Neil Gibson’s Nomads have won their last four league games on the bounce, as far as the form book is concerned it’s the visitors to Flint’s Cae-y-Castell ground who have the upper hand.

Currently unbeaten in the Cymru Premier, Craig Harrison’s side has won all but two of the nineteen games played so far. Leading the way in goals scored and enjoying the tightest defence, The New Saints has a greater goal difference than all the other clubs with a positive figure combined.

The Nomads will be in all-red and The New Saints all-grey, with the respective ‘keepers in all-blue and all-sky blue.

Aaron Jones is the appointed referee and he will be assisted by Jordan Christopher and Connor Thomas. John Jones is the fourth official and Nathan Brearley the referee observer.

We look forward to seeing you at the game, which has a 2.30 p.m. kick-off time.

*The club is continuing with the international streaming broadcast, which due to regulations is only available outside the UK and Ireland. Details of access to the service will be posted on our website and social media platforms ahead of the game.

*The game is now being broadcast on TNS Radio, as per our usual website/club Facebook page. We look forward to your company!
