Following the 3-0 JD Welsh Cup victory against Carmarthen Town last weekend, it’s back to league action for The New Saints on Saturday when they host Penybont. 

Going into the game with a six-point lead at the top of the table, but two games in hand over second-placed Connah’s Quay Nomads, it’s been a great season so far for the champions.

With 16 games yet to play, however, there’s still a long way to go, and although Rhys Griffiths’ team have been struggling as of late, they remain a dangerous opponent on their day.

Following this morning’s training session, head coach, Craig Harrison, held his latest press conference ahead of the game against the Bont, as his side gear up to play their final home game before Christmas.

Answering questions about the confidence in the camp, our visit to the SDM Glass Stadium back in October, and last night’s Nathaniel MG Cup draw, the former Premier League defender also provided an update regarding the return of JD Cymru Premier Player of the Season, Declan McManus.
