It’s a big game for The New Saints Women this weekend, as they play their first-ever Bute Energy Welsh Cup quarter-final fixture against Aberystwyth Town. 

Winning 3-0 against Connah’s Quay Nomads and 4-0 against Y Felinheli to reach this stage of the competition, The Saints will face an new challenge altogether when they come up against opposition from the Genero Adran Premier.

Taking on Gavin Allen’s side in league action just 32 days ago, The Saints triumphed 4-3 on that occasion and have never lost a home fixture against the Seasiders, but the match on November 5th was the closest Aber have come to taking anything from Park Hall.

With attention now beginning to turn towards Sunday’s fixture, head coach, Greg Draper, answered questions about the game in his regular pre-match press conference held earlier today.

Sharing thoughts following the postponement of the match against Rhyl 1879, the New Zealand international also discussed previous head-to-head form against Aberystwyth, the incredible goal-scoring run his side are currently enjoying, and potential new signings in the January transfer window.
