The New Saints Women will host fellow Genero Adran Premier team, Aberystwyth Town at Park Hall Stadium in the quarter-finals of the Bute Energy Welsh Cup following tonight’s draw at FAW Headquarters.

Greg Draper’s team are enjoying their best ever run in the competition after claiming a 4-0 victory against Y Felinheli in the second round at Park Hall this past Sunday (November 12).

Meanwhile, Gavin Allen’s Seasiders got to this stage in the competition by dispatching Llanfair United 3-0 at Mount Field in round one (October 15), and most recently, Rhyl 1879 8-0 at Belle Vue Stadium in round two last weekend.

Aberystwyth reached the semi-finals of the 2022/23 Welsh Cup before suffering a 3-0 loss against Briton Ferry Llansawel at LHP Stadium, Carmarthen (February 19).

Looking at Saints’ record against Aberystwyth at Park Hall makes for good reading, as TNS have won every encounter (three in total), with the most recent meeting at the start of this month in the Adran Premier (November 5) that saw the Oswestry-based team come away 4-3 victors, in a thrilling back-and-forth game.

All quarter-final ties are set to be played on Sunday, December 10th.
