After a 3-0 victory in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup last weekend, it’s back to Genero Adran Premier action for The New Saints Women on Sunday. 

Six-time champions, Swansea City, provide the opposition at Park Hall, giving Greg Draper’s side a great opportunity to assess the progress they’ve made in recent months. 

In head-to-head fixtures played between the two sides, it’s been the visitors who’ve held the edge, winning five out of the six matches in the top flight, but The Saints did, however, pick up a 2-1 victory against the Swans back in April,  

Holding his pre-match press conference earlier today, New Zealand international, Draper, discussed that previous victory against Chris Church’s team, gave reaction to the Welsh Cup second round draw, and also explained the importance of the pathway between the under-19s and the senior team. 

There was also an update regarding injuries and availability, including the disappointing news that summer signing, Chloe Shirley, faces a spell on the sidelines.
