Once training had finished at Park Hall this afternoon, we sat down with Benny Couto, as we conducted our first interview with the club’s latest signing.

On loan from Oldham Athletic, the young defender has experience at both Football League and National League level with the Latics.

Born in Portugal, Couto tells us how he moved to England and was spotted by Oldham while playing football.

He certainly impressed, as he was offered an immediate contract.

In the interview we ask him about his career to date, as well as how the TNS connection happened.

There’s an initiation ceremony among the players and staff, where all new recruits sing in front of their peers. What will Benny be performing?
