Greg Draper’s team took the lead through Helen Evans, before Zoe Atkins, Danielle Broadhurst, Siobhan Walsh, Rhianne Oakley and Eliza Collie all scored for the Bluebirds.

Even though it is a tough loss to take for all involved with The New Saints, experiences like yesterday will help staff and especially the players grow stronger longer term.

Helen Evans

Saints’ number 18 got her name onto the score-sheet for a second week in a row in the Championship Conference.

Evans netted a header from an incoming corner ball to find a fifth goal in the Adran Premier campaign.

The versatile 22-year-old has now been involved in 10 goal combinations in all competitions this season.

Caitlin Chapman

Chapman provided another assist this season when the winger whipped the corner into Evans in the first-half.

The assist yesterday was the 11th for the Northern Ireland under-19 international, who is now just one behind Ffion Price of Cardiff City in the Adran Premier charts.

A consistent goal scoring record

From every match played this season, TNS have just failed to score in one game.

The Oswestry outfit only sit behind the Bluebirds for an Adran Premier team to score in the most games in all competitions this season.

The opportunity to learn for next season

By getting into the Championship Conference, Draper’s side gave themselves the opportunity to play against the best teams domestically in Wales for the remainder of the season.

As mentioned at the top of the article, games like the ones against the league leaders will benefit the players longer term.

The team have another chance to prove themselves in a couple of weeks time, where TNS are set to play Swansea City Ladies at Llandarcy Academy of Sport (March 19).
