This Saturday (January 7), The New Saints plays its first competitive home game of 2023, when we welcome Haverfordwest County to Park Hall.

The JD Cymru Premier MD6 fixture is a first versus seventh encounter, with 27 points separating the sides in the table.

Although they recently were in contention for a top-six finish, just one point from the last two outings means that the Bluebirds can longer make the cut. Nevertheless, they’ll be looking to build momentum, with a stab at European football still very much on the agenda, courtesy of the play-off system.

The sides have already met this season in the league, with the October game in Pembrokeshire ending 3-1 to The New Saints. A brace from Ryan Brobbel and one from Declan McManus secured the three points, with Haverfordwest scoring a late consolation.

Craig Harrison’s side goes into the game with a lead of nine points over second-placed Connah’s Quay Nomads, while Bala Town, in third, trail the leaders by fifteen points.

This weekend, The New Saints will be in the traditional green and white hooped shirts, green shorts and white socks, while the visitors will be wearing black and white shirts, black shorts and socks.

The goalkeepers will be in blue/blue/black and all-yellow respectively.
