There was no football last weekend for The New Saints, due to the game against Caernarfon Town being postponed.
The weather has affected fixtures across the country over the last week or so, with just two JD Cymru Premier matches going ahead.
The MD18 fixture this Friday (December 16) between Flint Town United and The New Saints is a tenth versus first encounter.
Only Airbus UK Broughton have a worse current run of form than the Silkmen, with Lee Fowler’s side picking up just one point from their last five outings. On the other hand, The New Saints remain unbeaten so far in the league, with two draws from fifteen played.
The teams have met once already this season, with the league leaders registering a 6-2 victory at Park Hall.
With The New Saints’ defence having been breached on just five occasions, that means statistically Flint Town United have scored 40% of the goals that the club has conceded.
Friday’s game will see the home side taking to the field in their familiar black and white striped shirts, black shorts and socks. TNS will be in blue shirts and shorts with black socks.
The goalkeepers will be wearing all-orange and all-red respectively.
Mark Petch is the appointed referee and he will be assisted by Connor Fowler and Connah Sears. Aaron Wyn Jones is the fourth official and Dean John the referee observer.
The game has a 7.45 p.m. kick-off time and, as always, if you’re not there in person you can follow the action on TNS Radio. We will be on air just prior to kick-off and you can listen via our website home page/Facebook page.
