Oswestry Town Council and SYA (Shropshire Youth Association) are inviting young people of Oswestry aged 11 – 17 years to a festive drop in at Liar Liar café on the Bailey Head.

This takes place on Saturday, 17th December from 2:30 to 3:30pm and is an opportunity to talk with Corrie and Jess about Oswestry and its provisions for young people.

It’s an informal setting where young people can pop by, have a chat and there will be a free hot chocolate for all those that attend.

This is part of the Town Council’s campaign to engage with the young people of Oswestry and the wider area, via a new Youth Forum.

The long-term aim of the Forum is to involve young people in Council decision-making, so they can help shape youth provision of the future.

Oswestry Town Council Mayor, Councillor Jay Moore, adds “We hope the new Youth Forum will be a group of young people who want to make a difference locally. The idea is to empower young people to have a strong voice in the town and link discussions back to their friends and peers.”
