It is the first matchday in the 2022/23 season of the Genero Adran Premier this Sunday (September 4), as The New Saints Women welcome Barry Town United Women.

The teams met four times last season with Barry Town coming out victors in three of the four occasions.

In the most recent encounter on the 20th of March, The New Saints won 2-0 at Park Hall Stadium as part of what became the four match-streak which saw Andy Williams’ team avoid the drop.

The fixture back in March witnessed goals from skipper Beth Lewis in the 48th minute and last campaign’s top scorer Caitlin Chapman in the 64th.

For Sunday’s match, The Saints will be in green and white hooped shirts with white shorts and socks. The goalkeepers will be in an all-yellow kit.

The Linnets are set to wear a yellow shirt will a blue stripe, dark blue shorts and blue socks. Barry’s keepers will have a pink shirt with purple shorts and socks.

The officials are as follows: Arthur Smallman (referee), Harvey Smallman and Katie Hannah assistant referees).

Kick-off is at 2:00 p.m and entry is free, so if you can, get down to Park Hall and support the players.
