LATEST NEWS

With back-to-back JD Cymru Premier games at home, following the Penybont FC fixture last weekend this time it’s Connah’s Quay Nomads who provide the opposition on Friday, August 26.

It’s a fourth v seventh encounter, although with just two games played each it’s still early days yet, of course.

Both sides have scored just once in the league, with The New Saints yet to concede while the Nomads’ defence has been breached on two occasions.

With the teams having played each other in the Nathaniel MG Cup on August 6, it will be the second time in less than three weeks that Craig Harrison will have faced his former club.

The corresponding fixture last season (there were just two games in the league between the sides) ended with a 3-1 victory for The New Saints.

Declan McManus opened the scoring in the 12th minute, with Ben Clark doubling the advantage fifteen minutes later.

A penalty conversion by John Disney just into the second period threw the visitors a lifeline.

The two-goal lead was restored two minutes later though, courtesy of McManus, as he added another on his way to securing the JD Cymru Premier golden boot award come the end of the season.

The New Saints will be wearing green and white hooped shirts, green shorts and white socks. The goalkeepers will be in blue and green shirts, blue shorts and black socks.

The Nomads will be taking to the field in all-black, while their ‘keepers will be in all-yellow.

Rob Jenkins is the appointed referee, assisted by Connor Thomas and Jordan Christopher. Aaron Wyn Jones is the fourth official and John Davies the referee observer.

Kick-off is 7.45 p.m. and we look forward to welcoming you to Park Hall.

If you’re not at the game in person, you can follow the action on TNS Radio via our website home page and Facebook account.
