The New Saints Women will be playing Genero Adran Premier football again next season after receiving news of a successful licence appeal this afternoon.

The Saints had initially failed the Tier 1 licence with their original submission, but after a meeting of the FAW Club Licensing Appeals Body today, Andy Williams’ side have now been granted their Adran Premier Licence for the 2022/2023 season.

A requirement for any team wishing to compete in the top flight, the licence accesses clubs on the following criteria: Sporting, Infrastructure, Personnel, Legal and Financial.

Speaking after today’s announcement, Club Secretary, Jacob Williams said: “Everyone at the club is over the moon with the news this afternoon that we have secured the license to play in the Genero Adran Premier again next season.

“After a much-needed win against Port Talbot on Sunday, it makes today’s news all the more rewarding.”

The New Saints Women finished sixth in their first-ever top-flight season, picking up a superb 4-0 win on the final day to stave off relegation.
