In the second of the December back-to-back games, it’s a journey to south Wales this Saturday (December 11) for The New Saints. The JD Cymru Premier MD16 encounter with Barry Town United marks the halfway stage in the current league season.

There is a gap of nineteen points separating the sides in the table, with the hosts in eighth place, while TNS leads the way at the top.

Nine and twelve points ahead of Flint Town United and Newtown AFC, in second and third respectively, Anthony Limbrick’s side has had a good campaign to date.

The New Saints and Barry Town United have met once already this season, with the former running out 3-1 winners at Park Hall.

The game, on September 18, saw three new signings – Ashley Baker, Declan McManus and Jordan Williams – all finding the net.

Combined with results – and dropped points – elsewhere in the country, it meant that The New Saints opened up a four-point gap at the top.

TNS will be wearing green and white hooped shirts, green shorts and white socks this coming Saturday. The ‘keepers will be in yellow and black shirts with black shorts and socks.

The officials are as follows: Thomas Owen (referee), Ian Bird and Connor Fowler (assistant referees) with Richard Harrington (fourth official). Edward King is the appointed referee observer.
