A Close Game
It was a tight encounter as we lost 1-0 to Aberystwyth Town Women’s FC on the Mid Wales coast.
On another day the result could have easily been a different one, but you have to take it on the chin and move on.
First Forty-Five
Sunday’s first-half was the twelfth time that we have either won or drawn forty-five minutes in all competitions this season.
Every player put in great work considering the wind was working against us in the opening half of the game.
Plenty Of Chances
There were opportunities for us to get on the score-sheet throughout the match.
If the players can keep on creating the opening for shots, goals will come.
Caitlin Chapman
The Northern Irish player was our main attacking threat at Park Avenue.
The most notable chance for Chapman came in the 36th minute, a run in the box and a shot forced the Seasiders goalkeeper, Ffion Ashman to make a good stop.
A Big Game Ahead
In the context of the table, this weekend is another opportunity to get three points.
Our opponents are Port Talbot Ladies who we will welcome to Park Hall Stadium on Sunday (December 5).
Everyone I have talked to that have watched The New Saints FC Women play this season know that this team is not a bottom of the table side.
A win against Port Talbot would put us on seven points and potentially off the foot of the table.
