First Genero Adran Premier Win
On Wednesday night we picked up our first three points of the Adran Premier campaign with a 2-0 win over Aberystwyth Town Women’s FC.
We also won both halves for the second consecutive fixture and for the first time in the league season.
A consecutive clean sheet
It seems like we have found our rhythm at the back. Our centre-half partnership of Jen Jarvie and Charlotte Turner seems to be the go to selection as there is good communication between them. Sarah Parkes had another solid game on Wednesday, making a number of top saves to preserve the side’s lead. The full-backs of captain Beth Lewis and Faye Marshall were also great defensively while adding an attacking threat at times.
Another stunner from Lexie Harrison
Harrison scored another screamer against Aberystwyth with a 30-yard chip that found the net. The midfielder has shown a rich vein of form in recent games to add an extra dimension going forward.
Momentum
Confidence is key in football. When you pick up form this can really create a domino effect in matches to come. A good opportunity against Port Talbot Town Ladies away at Victoria Road on Sunday is a good way to continue the winning run.
Off the bottom of the table
The victory against Gavin Allen’s team on Wednesday ensures that we move up to seventh in the table. As mentioned, the match against Hayley Williams’ team at the weekend is a nice chance to potentially climb the table.
