Earlier today, the first phase JD Cymru Premier fixtures were announced, as we approach the 2021/22 season.

MD1 sees Anthony Limbrick’s side on the road at Latham Park on Friday, August 13. One of only two teams that have an unbroken stay in the top flight of Welsh football from its inception – Aberystwyth Town being the other – Newtown AFC qualified for European competition this time round via the play-offs.

The following weekend, Park Hall hosts its first league game of the new season with Huw Griffiths’ Caernarfon Town the visitors. The Canaries narrowly missed out on the European stage themselves, losing to the aforementioned Newtown in the play-off final.

The Christmas period involves back-to-back games against Cefn Druids. The Ancients visit Park Hall on Boxing Day, while the reverse fixture gets the New Year underway.

Phase one draws to its conclusion with two away games for The New Saints. A midweek trip to Caernarfon is followed by a journey to the capital, as we take on Cardiff Metropolitan University FC on MD22.
